Yes, the rumours are all true! 080808, the second UpStage festival, will take place on the 8th of August, 2008.

There will be a formal announcement and call for proposals in a couple of weeks, but in the meantime you can put the date in your diary and start thinking about how you might want to be involved. If you are interested in presenting a performance, please join the UpStage announcements list and come along to the next open walk-through.

As we have no funding this year, the UpStage team will be running 080808 purely as an online festival. We already have interest from two locations to host screenings of the festival in physical venues – if you are interested in doing this please for more information.
