Pandemonic Operations is an NZ registered charity that supports UpStage by collecting donations.

The purposes of the trust are:

• to create and promote artistic experiences that present technology, invention and science in innovative ways to the public;
• to create opportunities for young people, particularly women, to gain confidence as inventors, technicians and artists through artistic productions;
• to educate and encourage artists and audiences to risk new experiences in technology, science and innovation; and
• to work with existing networks and initiatives on projects that empower girls and women in science and technology.

Pandemonic Operations was founded in 2005 and the first project that it supported was Demeter’s Dark Ride, directed by Madeline McNamara and presented at BATS Theatre, Wellington, in October-November 2005.
