UpStage was completely rebuilt during 2020-21, using Python, Postgresql & MongoDB, MQTT, nginx, VueJS, HTML5 and ES6. It is open source and in active ongoing development – we welcome any interested developers to join the team..
Development team
The team is currently led by Gloria W. and includes Paul Rohrlach, Nguyen Hong Phat and Wu.
Interface design for the new platform was led by Elisa de Castro Guerra, with assistance from Riad Salameh.
Previous developers include James Liew, Tu Nguyen and Tuyet Giang (2022), Martin Eisenbarth (2013-14) and programming students from Auckland University of Technology (2006-19). Paul Rohrlach was the lead developer from 2010 until 2022 and remains involved with the team. UpStage was originally designed and built by Douglas Bagnall, who worked on the project from 2003-10.
