This site is getting a make-over, and you’re invited to add your touch: create a banner that says something about what UpStage is for you.
The current site was created in 2007, at the time of the launch of UpStage v2 (thanks, Leena!). It’s served us well for the last seven years, but during that time there’s been a huge amount of activity – six festivals, and all the rest – and the site is bursting at the seams.
A special team of AUT students have been assigned the task of coming up with a new structure, navigation and design that meets the needs of the UpStage community today. Vicki and Helen have had lots of meetings with the students, discussing the different audiences for the site and how the content can be best organised so that you can easily find what you’re looking for.
A feature of the new site will be changing banners at the top of each page, to convey the breadth and diversity of activity going on within the UpStage community. Everyone is invited to create and contribute a banner to go appear at the top of the site (randomly changing).
Let your imagination go wild – the only requirement is that the UpStage logo is there somewhere. You can include imagery from your own show, or your favourite show (ask the artists first!), or create something that expresses UpStage for you. The banner should be a .jpg or .png file of width 990px and height 180px. Email your banner to info@upstage.org.nz.
