UpStage is one of the platforms to be used in a new MA in Digital Performance being offered by Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland in the 2023-34 academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for UpStage, as well as for QMU and their students.
The practice-based MA will provide students with digital skills for performance-making in virtual/online and hybrid environments. It is aimed at independent practitioners as well as graduates and will cater to all levels of digital experience. The course is led by Bianca Mastrominico, who is experienced in digital and online performance and has participated in UpStage events over the last two years.
Amongst the online platforms that will be available for students to explore and create in, UpStage is the only one that has been purpose-built by artists working in cyberformance. Students of the MA who choose to work in UpStage will have the additional benefit of meeting and perhaps collaborating with experienced cyberformers from UpStage’s global community.
More information about the course is available on here on the QMU website.
