Digital Performance students at Wesleyan University (USA) presented six short virtual performances in UpStage.
“We are testing the potential of the software for interactivity and live graphic storytelling. Students will be the ‘actors’ who will be moving the avatars, backgrounds, props, voice and sound that they have created, while audiences will be able to interact through chat or text format.”
The performances are not more than 5 minutes each and are part of class work designed to learn how to use different software and to allow students to practically engage with issues of performance and interaction in the virtual space.
