“Let ME Go” – performance installation

“Let ME Go” is a performance installation using UpStage and a physical installation at Teatret OM
in Ringkobing, Denmark, created by Antonella Diana and Helen Varley Jamieson.

“Let ME Go” is inspired by the Sumerian myth of Inanna’s journey to the underworld. Inanna, the Queen of Heaven, descends to visit her sister Ereshkigal, Queen of the Underworld. To get there, she must pass through seven gates and at each gate give up one of her “me”, the symbols of her powers. What are your “me” and what can you let go of?

The installation is presented as part of the festival Ur-Nat/Natur, 10-14 June 2009.
