For two weeks in March, students at the University of Creative Arts (Farnham campus) in the UK had the opportunity to learn about cyberformance and create short performances in UpStage, culminating in a public presentation on Thursday 13 March, 17:00 – 18:00 UK time (find your local time here).
The event on Thursday 13th began with an introduction, followed by a cyberformance prepared by workshop participants, some question and discussion time, and then at 6pm UK time (7pm CET) a performance of Balloon.
The workshop was led by Helen Varley Jamieson, who had a 2-week residency at the university. As well as working with the students to create their performances, she has given lectures on UpStage and cyberformance. Workshop participants have learned how to use UpStage and explored the theme FLOOD for the performance.
