Welcome to the Open UpStage Foyer
Open UpStage is for artists and interested groups and individuals
to learn about UpStage, and create and present your own performances.
For more information,
080808 UpStage Festival The second UpStage festival will take place on 8
August 2008 and will feature live online performances by artists
from around the world. The call
for proposals is now open, deadline
16 May.
News "Flash" - problem with Flash Player Plug-in
v. 9.0.124.0
If you have upgraded to version 9.0.124.0 of the
Adobe Flash Player Plug-in, you probably won't be able to load
the stage. Until we can work out a solution to this, we can only
ask you NOT to upgrade. If you already have, you need to roll
back to 9.0.115.0 - more
details here.
Next Open Walk-through:
September
Open walk-throughs are an opportunity for newcomers
to learn about UpStage and have a hands-on guided tour of the
on-stage player tools, and for regular players it's a time to
meet new players and have a jam. The sessions are usually held
on the first Wednesday of the month, however now that we are
into the build-up to 080808 we will not be holding any open sessions
because we just don't have time! Make sure you come along to
the 080808 festival and check back here after that for the next
open session which will be early September.
Join
the announcements list for emiail notification of times
for open walk-throughs, performances and other announcements.
To
attend an open session as a "chatter" (audience member),
simply follow
this link at the time of the session; audience members can participate
via the text chat function. You will then see and hear (turn your
sound on!) what we're doing, and you can participate by typing in
the chat window.
To log in and participate in the full walk-through,
please
and you will be sent a log-in. We also recommend that you download
the manual and
have a browse before the session.
Tech
UpStage is intended to be compatible with all major
browsers on all major operating systems; you must have the free
Flash plug-in installed (but
please see this information about incompatibility with the latest
version, 9.0.124.0).
Audience members on dial-up can still enjoy UpStage,
however you should allow plenty of time for the stage to load. Once
it has loaded, you may experience slightly more lag than broadband
users, but in general you should have a similar experience.
If you are behind a firewall and get a blank screen
when you try to load a stage, you need to open ports 8084 and
7230-7233. |
