Open Walk-through: 10 March 2010
The next open walk-through will take place on Wednesday
10 March 9pm New Zealand time - find
your own local time here and email info at upstage.org.nz for
a guest log-in.
Open walk-throughs are an opportunity for newcomers
to learn about UpStage and have a hands-on guided tour of the
on-stage player tools, and for regular players it's a time to
meet new players and have a jam.
We plan to have another session before
the end of the year, specifically looking at the use of web
cams in UpStage.
Join
the announcements list to get email notification
of walk-throughs and other events.
To
attend an open session as a "chatter" (audience member),
simply follow
this link at the time of the session; audience members can participate
via the text chat function. You will then see and hear (turn your
sound on!) what we're doing, and you can participate by typing in
the chat window.
To log in and participate in the full walk-through,
please
and you will be sent a log-in. We also recommend that you download
the manual and
have a browse before the session.
Tech
UpStage is intended to be compatible with all major
browsers on all major operating systems; you must have the free
Flash
player plug-in installed.
Audience members on dial-up can still enjoy UpStage,
however you should allow plenty of time for the stage to load. Once
it has loaded, you may experience slightly more lag than broadband
users, but in general you should have a similar experience.
If you are behind a firewall and get a blank screen
when you try to load a stage, you need to open ports 8084 and
7230-7233. |
